Weekend class at ICP, 2019. There is a story on every street corner. We will learn to research, see and document these stories; There will be hands on, in the moment, on the street instruction, as well as daily classroom group critiques. We will create mini-documentaries that will involve collaborations with subjects living their lives at the intersection of Chinatown and LES; we will look at daily life in the few hours we have to make images and try to make quick connections with people. Together, we will create a final edit of our work that speaks to a ‘sense of place’, the people and culture we are investigating.
